Wwith only three episodes remaining in Game of thrones Season 8, we expect at least another great battle between the forces of good and Cersei Lannister. The final fight for the Iron Throne might not happen in episode 4 (episode 5 seems more likely, but for different reasons), but thanks to recent leaks, we already know how Cersei is considering to confront Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and more importantly, the two remaining dragons.
Huge spoilers possible for Game of thrones Season 8 below.
HBO did an admirable job Game of thrones The spoilers of the season 8 have spread (the episode 3 did not even flee early!), But the Eu experts who host the popular podcast A storm of spoilers seem to be one step ahead of the network. In the last episode of the podcast, they presented very big Eu leaks that could reveal the unfolding of episode 4 (and the rest of the season). Here are five important things to know.
Before diving, it is interesting to note that although these spoilers are generally quite reliable, A storm of spoilers were wrong in one detail last week when they predicted that Night King would win in Episode 3. So let's take that with a grain of salt, even though we are inclined to believe that these leaks are legitimate.
5. How to kill Dany's dragons
According to podcast presenters Joanna Robinson (Vanity Fair), Neil Miller (Rejection of the film school), and Dave GonzalesCersei's great plan for the next battle of King's Landing is to equip his castle with huge ballastas similar to the Scorpion weapon used in season 7 to injure Dany's dragon. These oversized crossbows could be installed along the walls of the castle, thus giving Cersei a good chance of getting out at least one of the remaining two dragons.
4. Stark-Targaryen alliance solidified
According to the hosts, filtered images of the second half of Game of thrones Season 8 includes a kind of hybrid of Stark and Targaryen sigils featured on a banner. This suggests that despite their recent numbers, Dany and Jon can get married and merge their homes. Alternatively, perhaps Jon will simply declare himself the only true Targaryen based on his lineage and create a new home of ice and fire.
3. Jon's new mission
Dany could go to Dragonstone, but Jon Snow could have a totally different mission. Other images disclosed apparently reveal that Jon will arrive at King's Landing with two of his supporters (possibly Davos). Assuming this happens, it seems likely that he will be there to negotiate a peace with Cersei, although we have the feeling that it will probably not work.
2. The grand finale of Tyrion
Beyond season 8, episode 4, the hosts of Storm of spoilers reveal that Tyrion Lannister will eventually set fire to the fire at King's Landing, then he will be executed for his crimes. This spoiler, based on a leak from a very reliable Reddit user, claims that Tyrion does it to stop an invasion of White Walker, although we do not know exactly how it works since all White Walkers are now dead. So treat him with suspicion.
1. Episode 6 revealed
Finally, we learned that the last episode of Game of thrones will feature a scene at the Dragon Pit (the same place where Dany met Cersei in the season 7 finale). We do not know exactly what will happen, but apparently, Lord Robin Arryn will also be present. So perhaps we will see all the leaders of Westeros converge to create a new type of united government of Westeros.
Will democracy finally come Game of thrones? It could happen, but not before our heroes deal with Cersei once and for all.
Game of thrones Season 8 is broadcast Sunday at 9pm. Is on HBO.
