Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 8 will begin Thursday at 1:00 am (Eastern Standard Time), and if previous seasons give an indication, the game's map and gameplay will undergo big changes. The beginning of season 7, for example, brought a snow-covered area and the first flying vehicle of the game, the X-4 Stormwing. And be warned, the developer Epic Games said that the update would be larger than usual:

There will also be a new set of challenges from Season 8 and Week 1, which we will cover as soon as they are live. But do not forget that you can always finish the season 7 challenges, with the Challenges of overtime. These are particularly important because if you pass 13 of the 16 challenges of the extension, Epic Games will give you a free season 8 pass.

There were only a few clues about what we could see in Season 8, starting with the earthquakes that the players had on the map. We do not know what they mean, but cracks have appeared in several areas around the map. Epic Games has also released a series of tweets to tease the new season hinting at some new items.

The first tweet prompted people to think that Season 8 has a pirate theme.

The idea was reinforced in this tweet the next day. Could it be about pirate ships that "arrive on the waves"?

This one of the 26th of February sent us a curved ball with "fire and ashes" (could the cracks come from a volcano?), But the looting of the reserve hides again an allusion to the pirates.

The last tweet arrived today and we can not wait to see what new changes are coming. Fortnite. So until we know for sure what the new season will bring, finish the overtime challenges!
