UPDATE (6:30 pm) – Two men were killed and two people were seriously injured as a result of a shootout north of Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Police said the shootings occurred shortly after 4 pm On Wednesday, when the shooter approached a driver near Sand Point Way and Bartlett Avenue. They said that the gunman had seriously injured the woman before walking down the street and shooting at a subway bus.
Seattle police said the bus driver was shot and wounded, but he managed to turn around and get away from the shooter.
After firing at the bus driver, police said the gunman had approached a second driver of a red Toyota Prius, had shot him down.
Police said that when they contacted the shooter, he climbed into the red Toyota Prius, started at a high speed and crashed into another car, killing the driver.
The shooter was arrested after a brief confrontation with the police.
According to the police, the gunman is currently at Harborview Medical Center with injuries that are not life threatening.

UPDATE (6:05 pm) – A metro bus driver would be among the victims of the shooting.
Police said the cause of the shootings was still unclear.
(5:17 pm) – Seattle police have announced that several people have been shot dead in the north of the city.
The shooting occurred in the Lake City Way area and Sandpoint Way. Officers ask people to avoid the area.
Police say that at least one person has been arrested. We do not know if there are additional suspects.
