ORLANDO, Fla. – About 100 SeaWorld employees were notified Monday of their dismissal.
Employees worked for a call center in Orlando, which provides customer service to all SeaWorld parks.
Some of these dismissed workers said they were very upset because their jobs now go to people in other counties.

Some of the dismissed employees said they had recently been sent to Central America to train people, but did not know that they were training these workers to replace their own jobs.
Empty parking spaces in an otherwise plentiful lot give an idea of what happened behind closed doors at SeaWorld's Orlando Call Center.
"I received a call from Human Resources and they told me that I actually did not have any more jobs there," said a former employee.
Employees said without warning that a hundred people had just been fired.
The call center manages the customer service of the 12 SeaWorld parks in the country.
"Everything from monthly plans, annual subscriptions to new annual subscriptions, park tickets, meal reservations, animal encounters and guided tours," said the former president. employee.
SeaWorld issued a statement in which it stated: "He conducted a thorough review of his operations and made the business decision to restructure his call center operations." As a result of this change, approximately 100 employees of the Orlando Call Center have been removed and the transactions have been transferred to a third-party provider, effective immediately. "
A former worker said she was a graduate student and the company agreed to pay her for the next 60 days, but she did not know how she could pay for the studies now.
"People have not really had the chance to get ready and for me it's not right," she said. "It's a lot of money and a lot more debt than I'm ready to assume."
SeaWorld officials said they recognized that layoffs were not easy and that it was considering offering severance pay and replacement assistance to ease the transition.
Former employees said the call centers were located in Jamaica and Guatemala.
