(WAFB) – The Southeast Conference, university presidents and chancellors voted on May 31 to lift the league's policy against alcohol sales in the stadium.
The vote took place on the last day of the SEC's Spring meeting in Destin, Florida. Universities are now free to choose whether or not they want to sell alcohol at stadiums.
According to Commissioner Greg Sankey, the new policy will come into effect on August 1 st.
