The U.S. Secret Service is reportedly bringing back agents who previously served in details for President-elect Joe Biden after his campaign raised concerns that some agents already in place were politically aligned with President Trump.
A spokesperson for Biden told Fox News the transition team had “no comment” on the matter, but the Washington Post reported that at least two members of Biden’s security service when he was vice-president would return to head the new team.

Those on Biden’s former crew include Darryl Volpicelli, who will become Biden’s second in command of security, and Brian McDonough, who will become a senior details supervisor, sources told The Post.
In addition, David Cho, the current second in command of the protection detail for Trump, will be appointed the new special agent in charge of Biden details, the source said.
Security reassignments are not uncommon for the department, and officers are expected to provide protection despite their political views, a federal law enforcement official told Fox News.
However, the Secret Service has recently come under fire for decisions allowing former retail chief Anthony Ornato to step up to a role in the White House as Trump’s deputy chief of staff.

Ornato has been implicated in controversial actions by the Trump team, including hosting a photoshoot at a church across from Lafayette Square in Washington, DC, amid protests over the summer of 2020 denouncing police brutality against black people.
Ornato will return to the Secret Service at the end of Trump’s tenure, becoming the deputy director overseeing the agency’s Rowley training center, the Post reported.
The Secret Service did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News.
