The Foo Fighters were among the performers of the Celebrate America special concert Wednesday, which capped the inauguration events of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The group was introduced by Kindergarten teacher Mackenzie Adams who received a special shout from the leader. “Mackenzie Adams reminds me of another exceptional teacher who holds a very special place in my heart. My mom, Virginia, who taught in a public school for 35 years, ”Grohl said. “Like Mackenzie and Dr. Jill Biden, she was also a mentor to her students, who are remembered long after graduation.
