As the world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz EQS draws closer, more and more prototypes of the car are less and less camouflaged.
Here we can see the new video of walkoARTvideos, which shows us a white unit with camouflage only on the front and rear part.
You can tell that it will undoubtedly be a stylish model. In fact, Mercedes-Benz intends to make the EQS the most aerodynamic car ever produced in series production, with Cd as low as 0.20.
The door handles are hidden inside the doors and we can also note a large panoramic glass roof. You can see even more of the EQS (with even less camouflage), but only in pictures, here.
The second thing we have here is a new video with the SUV version of the EQS that will follow in 2022.
This car is larger and more rectangular, currently fully covered by camouflage (except for the roof).
Production of the EQS and EQE-based SUVs will take place at the Tuscaloosa plant in Alabama, USA.
We can assume that the specifications of the EQS SUV version will also be very strong. The sedan is expected to have a range of over 700 km (435 miles) when equipped with the maximum number of battery modules. The SUV will probably get a lot less, maybe 500 km (311 miles).
Mercedes-Benz has no choice but to max out specs to compete with the Tesla (refreshed Model X), the upcoming Rivian R1S and Lucid “Gravity”.
Features Mercedes-Benz EQS:
- over 700 km (435 miles)
- 108 kWh battery (12 modules, approximately 9 kWh each)
lithium-ion cells, chemistry NCM 811 - Cd value from 0.20
- EVA platform
