Since baseball closed in March of last year, we’ve kept you posted on what the Yankees have been up to on social media. While baseball is getting back to normal, it’s always fun to check out our favorite players and the Yankees numbers, so we’ll continue to do that throughout 2021. Here’s your weekly update on what your favorite Yankees have been up to. on social networks!

Joey Gallo says hello to New York

The longtime Texas Ranger was traded to his favorite team growing up, the New York Yankees. After spending nine years in the South with the Rangers, it must have been quite an emotional time for Joey Gallo. He thanked the Texas faithful on Twitter and said he hopes he made them proud. He is now a Yankee and is thrilled with the opportunity.

The Rangers also posted a tribute video to Gallo. Watching his highlights can only make Yankees fans even more excited for his presence on the squad for the next year and a half!

Chicago tribute to Anthony Rizzo

It’s still new, so Rizzo hasn’t posted anything on social media yet, but the Chicago Cubs have created a three-minute tribute video that I’m sure was heartbreaking for Cubs fans to watch. Rizzo was such an important figure for the city and helped lead the Cubs to their first World Series championship in over 100 years in 2016. He has done so much for the city on and off the pitch, but don’t worry. , Cubs fans, he’s in good hands in New York.

Luis Cessa says goodbye to the Bronx

Cessa has been with the Yankees since 2016 and hasn’t pitched a major league inning for any other team during his career. However, the Yankees distributed it to the Cincinnati Reds with Justin Wilson for a PTBNL. Cessa had some tough times in his early years in the big spots, but he’s figured it out in the last few seasons and has really helped this team in the big spots. He will now be a member of the Ohio reliever box, but he thanked his teammates and the Yankees for making his dream come true. Thanks for everything Louis. We wish you good luck for the future!
