Madonna unveiled her new video for "Dark Ballet". This is the fifth and final preview that will come out of his next album. Madame X, scheduled for June 14. The cinematic clip features Mykki Blanco, who plays Joan of Arc.
In the video visually stopped by Emmanuel Adjei, we see Mykki Blanco bravely face the adversity of various religious figures and many spectators and dance despite the imminent and inevitable destiny ahead.
The star speaks enthusiastically of Madonna's words: "It's such a shame that the world he lives in is because his world is obsessed with glory," sings Madonna on the chorus. "Because your world suffers so much / Because your world is /" Because your world is in flames. "
"She fought against the English and she won, but the French were not happy," says Madonna about the inspiration behind the video and the song, Joan of Bow. "They judged it anyway. They said that she was a man, they said that she was a lesbian, they said that she was a witch and, in the end, they burned her at the stake and she feared nothing. I admire that.
The clip ends with inspiring words from Mykki Blanco: "I walked on this earth, black, queer and HIV positive, but no transgression against me was as powerful as the hope that I would Have in me ".
"Dark Ballet" follows the previous Madame X "Future" with Quavo, "Crave" with Swae Lee from Rae Sremmurd, "I Rise" and Maluma with "MedellĂn".
