Former Hero cast member Leonard roberts recently wrote a personal essay on his 2007 dismissal, detailing a past dispute with his co-star Ali larter and the feeling of being the target of racist behavior.
The actress then issued a public apology to the actor. NBC, which co-produced the show between 2006 and 2010, has not publicly responded to Roberts’ claims.
“I had hoped that one day I would be able to think about my Hero experience of a fulfilled, paid and less angry place, having left all the hardship behind me, ”Roberts wrote in his essay, published by Variety Wednesday, December 16 “While it’s not my reality, the most important moment we find ourselves in forces me to share. For this to become a real turning point, we will all need to engage in more substantial ways.”
After leaving the series, the actor continued his career mainly in television.
