Sega lawyers threaten bad website over Yakuza hack

There are lawyers out there working for Sega headquarters in Japan who were tasked with tracking down those responsible for the hacking Yakuza: like a dragon. And they don’t do a good job.

SteamDB, a site entirely dedicated to recording statistics related to the Steam showcase and the multiplayer platform, had to delete its page to Yakuza: like a dragon after pressure from Sega, who claims the game itself was illegal distributed from the page. Which was not the case.

Interestingly, site builder Djundik adds that “SteamDB receives at least one DMCA per year, but we [are] still able to solve it quickly ”, probably because these DMCAs are the result of an interrupted / rogue internet search. Which may be the case here too, but unlike these other instances, “SEGA, on the other hand, simply ignored no response ”.

If Sega takes recommendations, I know a lawyer who would have done a better job…
