Seinfeld gets trapped in a LEGO apartment in the Netflix trailer

Netflix has released a new promotion for Seinfeld, to help celebrate the upcoming show on the platform. The video jokingly tries to sell a new version of the series in the form of Lego, and a few actors return to participate in the joke.

The promo is narrated by Bryan cranston, who played Dr Tim Whatley in Seinfeld for five (or six according to him) episodes, while he introduces the public to this new version of the show. He states that he is inspired by the “very popular Lego set model”, and we are shown the whole of Jerry’s apartment, completely recreated in Lego form.

We then see Jerry Seinfeld, resuming her role as the main character, walking into her apartment, looking confused about her new appearance and new decor. Cranston then sells this new version of Jerry, stating that he is “just as funny as his human counterpart”.

Jerry himself tries to eat cereal, while being confused about what’s going on and complaining that he doesn’t want to be a Lego. Cranston says that since they bought the series, they can do whatever they want with it. Towards the end of the promo, that of Patrick Warburton David Puddy makes an appearance saying his iconic “you’re right” line when told his Lego piece is sold separately.

Seinfeld is a comedy series that was first released in 1989 and lasted until 1998. The show centers on Seinfeld, who plays a fictional version of himself, as he tries to live his life alongside of his three closest friends. Netflix recently purchased the rights to the series and all 180 episodes of the hit series are now available to stream on the platform. The release was part of their Netflix Is A Joke section, a hub within mainstream Netflix that focuses on stand-up, comedy series, movies, and all comedy-related matters.
