Actress and singer Selena Gomez, who underwent a kidney transplant in 2017 following her battle with lupus, isn’t thinking of a joke about The good fight about his operation was funny at all.

Criticizing a scene that aired on the Paramount + drama last month, Gomez tweeted last night, “I don’t know how to write organ transplant jokes for TV shows has become one thing, but unfortunately it is. apparently the case. The reference is from a 2020 episode of Peacock’s Saved by the Bell update, in which the characters debated the identity of Gomez’s kidney donor. Peacock then apologized and removed the scene.

As with the Saved by the Bell episode, The good fight immediately drew criticism from Gomez fans. In her tweet, the actress thanked her followers, noting, “My fans are always supportive of me. I LOVE YOU.” She has included a link to register for organ donation.
