Selma Blair says she was not "taken seriously by doctors" before the diagnosis of MS

Selma Blair spoke about her diagnosis and her fight against multiple sclerosis in a revealing interview with Robin Roberts on Tuesday, entitled "Good Morning America".

"Since my son was born, I was in a MS crisis and I did not know it, and I gave him everything to look normal," revealed the actress "Cruel Intentions".

"And I cared for myself when he was not with me. I was drinking. I had trouble, "she added. "I did not drink always, but there were times when I could not take it."

In addition to physical pain, Blair also had to deal with the pain and frustration of doctors who rejected his symptoms.

The actress said that she had cried with relief after finally being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, knowing that she could devote all her energy to healing and living with the disease.

Blair revealed that she had "an aggressive MS", although her doctor told her that she could recover 90% of her abilities in less than a year. He also encouraged the actress to "raise awareness about the disease."

"Nobody has the energy to speak when they are in … an outbreak," the actress said jokingly. "But I do it because I like a camera."

Blair spoke of his love for the cameras on Monday, writing how wonderful it was to feel the "heat of the bulbs" on Sunday night while walking on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscars.

The 46-year-old woman made her first public appearance since the revelation of her diagnosis, with the help of her "fake husband" and best friend, Troy Nankin, and a decorated cane comprising a huge diamond pink.
