Alaska Senator Lora Reinbold, a Republican from Eagle River, has been exempted from attending Senate sittings from this weekend until next January.
She was banned from flying on Alaska Airlines for refusing to wear a face mask and claims she has no other way to return to Juneau. On Thursday, she asked her fellow MPs to apologize.
“I move and seek unanimous consent to be excused from the Senate appeal from September 11 to January 15, as there is no airline other than Alaska Airline (s) that fly to Juneau during this time that I know, “she said.” The political ban is still in effect as long as Biden’s illegitimate mask mandate is in place. “

In general, legislators ask to be exempted from plenary sittings when they have some other commitment that prevents them from attending.
Reinbold was briefly excluded from most of the Capitol during the regular session for failing to wear a mask and refusing to be tested for COVID-19. She finally started to abide by the rules.
The Legislature is currently in its third special session of the year, which is scheduled to end on Tuesday. No further special sessions were announced before the start of the regular session in January.
