Senator Ted Cruz’s daughters must be quarantined after trip to Cancun

The two daughters of Texas Senator Ted Cruz will need to be quarantined for seven to 10 days after returning from their now infamous trip to Cancun – and they will miss classes at their expensive private school for the entire week, according to a report.

The stringent pandemic rules imposed on Houston’s elite St. John’s School have been reported by Politico – and only show the latest cost of the senator’s deaf trip to the Mexican resort town, as millions of his constituents suffered from the cold, power outages and water shortages.

Cruz suffered a flashback for the trip from all angles, including Houston Police Chief and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Even more flashback occurred when he blamed the trip on the girls, ages 10 and 12, who he said had asked to take the ride. On Thursday, he confessed that it was “obviously a mistake”.

So many parents commented vehemently on the trip on the Facebook page for the $ 31,820-per-year exclusive school that administrators shut the site down for comment, Politico said.

The school requires all students traveling abroad to undergo a 7-10 day quarantine upon their return and the school has no options for online education.

Just weeks before Cruz’s trip, parents were warned about traveling amid the pandemic by the school in an email, Politico noted.

“At the end of the day, he takes that heat to use his kids as an excuse to take a vacation. And that’s a mistake, ”mother Lara Hollingsworth told the website.

“From a parent’s perspective, all I’m asking is that the school follow the CDC’s guidelines, and I have to say I have no reason to believe it won’t.”

“I don’t feel bad for him,” Victoria Konar, another relative, also told Politico. “There are people ticked off by those who think they are the VIPs of this school and who don’t want to worry about following the rules because it interferes with their social life.”

Cruz’s representatives say the children will follow the policy.

“Sen. Cruz’s daughters plan to follow St. Johns politics, ”a spokesperson for the senator told The Post.

St. John’s did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
