Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi, 20, was loaned by Liverpool to Gent, announced the Jupiler Pro League club on Monday.Awoniyi had been loaned to Mouscron last season. With 10 goals and 7 assists, he left a good impression. His performances with the 'Hurlus' even earned him a contract extension in Liverpool. The 'Reds' have decided to lend him another season, in Ghent this time. Awoniyi was trained at the Imperial Soccer Academy in Nigeria. He joined Liverpool in 2015.
