34 billion francs from AFD to finance SMARTGRID

Dakar, July 5 (APS) – The government of Senegal and the French Development Agency (AFD) signed a financing agreement in Dakar on Thursday of about 34 billion CFA francs for the implementation of the program. SMARTGRID, learned the APS.

The SMARTGRID program '' aims to improve our energy competitiveness and the living conditions of the population by securing electricity supply '', added Amadou Ba.

He noted that this new financial assistance obtained from the AFD "once again testifies to the excellence of the secular relations and the fruitful cooperation between our country and the French Republic".

AFD celebrates 75 years of presence in Senegal, '' honored its commitments to accompany the implementation of the PES, commitments made in February 2014 during the Consultative Group of Paris '', hailed Amadou Ba.

According to him, 41 financing agreements were signed for a total amount of over 129 million euros, or about 846, 4 billion CFA francs.
