Barclays Africa operates in 12 countries with approximately 40,000 employees, serving nearly 12 million customers.
The Barclays brand can only be used in the rest of Africa until June 6, 2020, subject to extension for two years for debit and credit cards
The Group is expected to expand its corporate and investment banking activities to certain international jurisdictions, with the opening of offices in London and later in New York, under the name of Absa Securities.
