The Ministry of Industry and Small and Medium Industries paid a working visit to the Ameth Amar Society as part of a working visit. Opportunity seized by Moustapha Diop to thank the President Director General of the NMA SANDERS for the " warm and fraternal welcome " he was kind enough to reserve with the entire delegation that accompanies him, to the opportunity of this visit of industries that he began for ten days.
" I would especially like to thank him for his simplicity, his courtesy and his patriotism, because I must admit that it is him- even who was kind enough to invite me to visit his factory, even if it was already planned in my program of visits. This testifies if need be that Mr. Amar is a man who has a high sense of responsibility and who intends to collaborate with the State, including his ministry of guardianship ", welcomed Moustapha Diop.
And as Minister of Industry, he took the opportunity to seize " Amth Amar's hand-extended " to which he, during this visit, " solemnly ", Expressed all his willingness to work with him, to support him, to accompany him, to help him achieve his ambition," that is to say to make NMA a national and sub regional Champion in the agri-food sector and also allow it to penetrate further the markets of Mali, The Gambia, Guinea and other countries, to increase its export share by 1.6% today, which is weak, at a much higher level "
" I share this legitimate ambition because I am convinced that if we want to succeed in our industrialization we must bring out national champions capable of satisfying the local market and foreign markets but also to compete with foreign companies ", at-t- he continued in his speech
Not without renewing his encouragement to " M. Ameth Amar to persevere in this good way and I am sure he will succeed, because he managed to hoist NMA among today the most successful agribusiness companies in Senegal, with a turnover of 66 013 744 349 CFA francs, 500 employees including 279 permanent and a daily production of 900 tons of cattle feed, 450 tons of flour and 85 tons of pasta "
" Precisely in speaking of pasta, I I would like to reassure Mr Ameth AMAR and all the other industrialists concerned that ASN's Board of Directors has just approved the four draft standards on pasta submitted to it and before the end of July 2018, this decision will be published in the Official Journal, to become recognized Senegalese standards. This will obviously protect our local pasta industry which suffers a lot of unfair competition.
I also know that the congestion at the Port Authority of Dakar causes enormous difficulties to the NMA and even to the industrialists. Here too, I would like to reassure them that important efforts are being made to definitively solve this problem, which is hampering the competitiveness of our industries.
I would like finally to congratulate Mr. Ameth AMAR who has just been brought to the head of the Regroupement des Industriels du Senegal and tell him that I would be very happy to receive this organization which counts within it the captains of industries which weigh more than 1000 billion CFA francs ", concludes the Minister the Ministry of Industry and Small and Medium Industries …
