The Minister of the Solidarity Economy and Microfinance, Aminata Angélique Manga has invited the elected representatives of the diaspora to coordinate with her services, so that many more projects of emigrants can be enlisted by the various programs.

Among these programs, there is the platform of support to the private service and the valorization of the Senegalese diaspora in Italy (PLASEPRI), which a project of the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, with a view to increase the capacity of the Senegalese of the diaspora to contribute to the sustainable development of the country of origin.

Also, there is the Islamic Microfinance Development Program in Senegal (PROMISE) which has been set up to increase the level of financial inclusion and contribute to achieving PES objectives. In terms of results, PROMISE is expected to contribute to access to finance for 50,000 micro enterprises and generate 25,000 new jobs by 2025.

As part of the 2019 management, the budget of the Ministry of the Solidarity Economy and Microfinance increased by more than 8.6 billion CFA francs, from 2.8 billion in 2018 to 11.4 billion in 2019.
According to Budget Minister Birima Mangara, this increase is a very illustrative sign of President Macky Sall's desire to make this year a social year.
