The Parcels Assainies seized 29,000 euros (18,850,000 CFA francs) in counterfeit notes. The alleged counterfeiters were denounced by a forex trader established in PA Unit 8. The defendants, Mr. Sow and I. Diop, not to name them, were subsequently arrested.

They were all brought before the prosecutor for criminal conspiracy yesterday, an attempt to sell counterfeit banknotes and monetary signs having legal tender in Senegal and abroad, forgery and use of forgeries.
