If Disney is the pro to adapt live animation movies, Netflix is not left out.
For those who do not know let's just say that Cowboy Bepop is a Japanese animated series consisting of 26 episodes of 26 minutes. Released in 1998 and created by Shinichiro Watanabe, the series ended in apotheosis with a film Bebop Cowboy – Knockin 'on heaven's door, released in France in 2003.

Cowboy Bepop tells the story of space bounty hunters. In a post-apocalyptic future where humans had to flee the Earth and colonize other planets, leaving the universe in utter chaos.
In this situation more than wobbly, complete freedom is left to criminals (all more dangerous than others). The motley troop that we follow is composed of a former member of a criminal organization, an indebted player, a hyperactive young hacker, a former police officer and a dog.
Between American film noir, science fiction and western, strongly influenced by Chinese and American culture, with jazz for background sound, the animation series has stood out and is, even today, a monument of Japanese animation.
In flesh and blood you said?
A masterpiece that Netflix has decided to adopt. Fans of the first hour may cry scandal when learning that the streaming platform has decided to adapt live series Cowboy Bepop. The series of Shinichiro Watanabe will therefore take flesh after taking the dust for a few years.
Indeed, the idea of adapting this animated train in minds. The Fox, in 2009, had hypothesised to make a film where Keanu Reeves would have camped Spike Spiegel (one of the main characters). But as often this project ended in the limbo of oblivion.
For now, no production date has been announced, nor any casting and release date. In the meantime, we are more anxious than anything else, hoping that Netflix will not make us Death Note.
