This integral takes over the Batman: DK III: The Master Race 1 to 9.
The Master Race, Batman's original title – Dark Knight III is the continuation of the cult work The Dark Knight Returns and The Dark Knight Strike again.
For this third part, Frank Miller resumes his role of screenwriter, but with the help of Brian Azzarello, to tell us this new adventure of the "old" Batman!
Without equaling the original work, this third "season" is still "superior" to the second opus.
We meet Carrie, the old Robin, Wonder Woman, Lara, the girl she had with Superman, Atom and many others for this very surprising adventure that keeps us going all along these 400 pages, with her lots of thrills and action scenes. What is still the purpose of this kind of story: to be a very good entertainment!
Andy Kubert is responsible for the graphic part. He offers us a job more than correct. It's very effective, with some beautiful passages that mark the spirits. In the mini-narratives that accompany the main plot, we find some characters in solo, as well as other artists including, among others, Frank Miller, John Romita Jr or Eduardo Risso. Everyone brings his style and sensitivity.
This integral comes at the right time to celebrate 80 years of Batman, perfect to appear in your libraries.
Note that Urban Comics also released an "art-book" entitled Dark Knight III Collection of different covers where you will find the 150 covers of the saga as well as the unpublished research and sketches, plus a new introduction by Klaus Janson.
