French yellow vests inspire artists. In Paris, in the 19th arrondissement, onlookers discovered a fresco inspired by Eugène Delacroix's famous painting on the French Revolution: "Liberty Leading the People" realized in 1830.
Here no guns, pistols or dead in the foreground, as on the original board, but protesters wearing yellow vests and protective masks.
In the middle, as on the canvas of Delacroix, the Marianne wearing the Phrygian cap and hoisting the French flag
"It's just beautiful, that's all," said a passer-by. "It's representative of what's going on right now, it's not a revolution, it's just a cause the people are asking for, that's France right now."
This fresco was made last week by the street artist Pascal Boyard, who denounces regularly in his works the world of finance. One of the causes, according to him, the movement of yellow vests in France.
