'' The UCAD Foundation has been able to buy this bus specially designed for people with reduced mobility, including all the necessary equipment and comfort thanks to the general manager of NMA Sanders Ahmet Amar '' said Sokhna Diagne, representative of the UCAD Foundation

She was speaking at the official ceremony of handing over the bus organized at the Dakar Cheikh Anta Diop University in the presence of the university authorities and representatives of the beneficiaries.

'' Students with disabilities will now be able to come and go easily within the social and educational campuses, but also make trips outside the university to attend socio-cultural events '', argued Ms. Diagne.

She thus reaffirmed the commitment of the UCAD Foundation, through this gesture, to fight against social inequalities and to give each member of the student community the means to succeed.

"The rectorate has decided, under the approval of Ibrahima Thioub, to take over the institutional management of the bus so its future life is assured," she said.

The Chief Executive Officer of NMA Sanders said he was "honored and convinced that this bus rebate offered to the UCAD Handicapped Students' Association will contribute to improving the living conditions of students with reduced mobility ''.

'' Our country needs these students. That is why we welcome the important advances noted in the administration of the university to encourage our dear students to persevere in the path of excellence, "said Amar Amar.

He added: "It is only by dint of self-sacrifice and perseverance that success will come in the face of the many obstacles that will inevitably stand in the way."

"Whether you are a minister, a president or a peasant, you must have the same chances to succeed and take the social lift," said Professor Ibrahima Thioub, rector of UCAD. [19659002]

He hailed a "noble and humane gesture by the UCAD Foundation to offer the AEH a bus to facilitate the mobility of students with reduced mobility".
