It is now possible to perform eye surgery at the regional hospital of Saint-Louis. A Canadian NGO called IRIS has donated a laser treatment device to the ophthalmic department of St. Louis. A first operation allowed a young child to regain his sight. The size endowment was highly praised by the management of the hospital structure who salutes the useful partnership with the humanitarian organization.
In the process, the hospital also received 12 intensive care beds, 2 oxygen flow meters plus humidifier, 2 pressure regulators, 2 glass medicine cabinets, 2 electrocardiographs of 12 tracks, 2 dressing trolleys, 2 medical storage trolleys, one portable ultrasound machine and 1 mobile X-ray from LUX DEV.
An action carried out by the Luxembourg co-operation in the framework of its PIC III program.
