The parents of students of the Immaculate Conception (Dakar) sound the alarm. They inform that their children, in Terminale class, will directly fail the Technical Bac exam of the academic year 2018-2019, if they are evaluated in the program of the G series they have not learned. They ask the state authorities to react as quickly as possible before the irreparable happens.
"I was seized by the parents of students in relation to a very urgent situation. In 2016, we were seized by the Ministry of Technical Education who had asked us to prepare our students for a new program which is the program supposed to eventually replace the G series and we initiated the program, "says the president of the parents of students of the Immaculate Conception of Dakar.
Attached to the phone by PressAfrik, Mr Marcellin Quenum, informs that: "This generation with whom we had started the program since 2016, today happens to be in Terminale and prepares the Bac 2018-2019. For this purpose, the prefects of the schools met the Director of the Office of the Baccalaureate, Pr Sossé Ndiaye and the latter informed them that having taken office, he did not receive a DP which obliges him to prepare this new Bac (STEG).
According to him, the guardianship had decided for the year 2019, to organize two Bac, including Bac G and Bac STEG. But, he points out, "it seems that, having not received the official decree, he can organize only the Bac G and not the Bac STEG".
