Another traffic accident. A Mitsubishi-type 4X4 "Wopouya" type vehicle, registered LG 4737 A, which carried merchants to Louma de Tessékré, overturned at Kamb, a town located in the department of Linguère. The death toll is 11 dead, of whom 03 are seriously injured.
The deceased victim, Alima Fall, is 53 years old and lives in Dahra. According to testimonies gathered from the witnesses, the accident was caused by the puncture of the right rear wheel, causing the overturning of the vehicle which hit a signpost.
The shopkeeper who crashed heavily on the production track had a head trauma and several injuries on the body. She lost her life at the time.
The mortal remains and the wounded were sent to the Elisabeth Diouf health center in Dahra. According to our sources, the "Wopouya" was overloaded with passengers and luggage. The driver of the vehicle is in custody at the premises of the Yang-Yang Gendarmerie Brigade. An investigation is opened to determine the real causes of the accident.
