Air Senegal has resumed its flights "today" (Friday) by ensuring the only link launched since the beginning of its commercial activities in May, between the capital Dakar and Ziguinchor, in the tourist region of Casamance, indicated to AFP an airport source and a source close to the company

The company had announced on July 10 the suspension of its flights as a result of damage suffered by these two aircraft, two ATR 72-600.

A had crashed with birds on July 7, which had damaged its nose. The aircraft was able to land safely at the Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD), about fifty kilometers from Dakar, according to the company.

Previously, June 27, the other plane of Air Senegal had "sustained heavy damage" as a result of heavy rains, accompanied by "wind gusts of more than 90 km / h while standing on the tarmac at the international airport.
