Senegalese Interior Minister Aly Ngouille Ndiaye suggested that political actors encourage members and sympathizers of their political parties to withdraw their voter registration cards in order to exercise their right to vote, said General Rapporteur Yero Sow. the National Assembly this Tuesday.
With regard to the difficulties encountered by the Senegalese abroad in withdrawing their administrative documents, he reassured that measures were being taken to resolve these problems, in collaboration with his colleague in charge of Foreign Affairs.
Currently, eight million cards are delivered including 6.5 million produced. Expenditures made, says Sow, are "30 billion CFA francs, plus a pending invoice of 10 billion, a total of 40 billion CFA francs".
On the electoral process, the minister also reassured the opposition that "all the arrangements are made for a smooth running of the next presidential election".
