Auchan … We must accept the competition in Senegal

[ad_1]

REMAINS AUCHAN, BUT GOES TO THE FIELDS!

One can understand the demands of the Senegalese who aspire more and more to free themselves from the stranglehold of France on the economy of the country, in the name of the economic patriotism, in all it has to save the economic development of a country.

But, ask a private company that has invested several billion in a market to meet the specific needs and expectations of potential customers to leave Senegal, is nothing but fooling around.

We live in the age of globalization which is a great opportunity for any business.

So any society has the power to relocate where she wants, to sell her products where she wants, to open her subsidiaries where she wants and to invest where she wants in this big dream village of Marshal McLuhan become in fact, "a global village". This globalization should not be accepted because it would impose itself on us as a fatality but because its consequences are good for local businesses in Senegal and for the economy of our country in general.

Tackling the problem of Auchan's presence in Senegal on this angle, would allow us to avoid this ubiquitous saraband of narcissistic comedians disguised as " messiah saviors of Senegal " without any knowledge of the macro-economic and geostrategic realities that govern the world . " The rooting and openness " of which SENGHOR spoke was not only cultural, it is also economic and imposes on us today.

The association that carries the struggle against Auchan exists since 1989. During all these years, no innovation could answer the explicit and latent needs of Senegalese consumers. It was not until the opening of some supermarkets to know that it existed during all these years, an association named UNACOIS whose main mission is to "promote SMEs and VSEs by coaching and setting up services meeting the needs and expectations of consumers ". Which service?

We are for the presence of Auchan in Senegal and any Chinese, Mongolian, Japanese, Congolese company as long as it brings more innovation, positive competition and allows to answer to the expectations of the consumers. Yes, opening up to competition will help to widen the offer for consumers, bring down prices and improve the quality of goods and services for Senegalese.

This presence of Auchan in Senegal must be seen as an opportunity to create other local businesses to provide them with the goods and services they need

A State to put in place the necessary policies and restrictions to force them to stock up through short circuits from local farmers. Yes, stay Auchan, But go to the fields! Go see the Niayes farmers who do urban agriculture and bio! Go see Mbélacadiao women raising chickens outdoors! Create jobs, train young people, and supply yourself on the local market!

As for young Senegalese, the time has come to adopt the logic of "Need-solution-creation of a company" because the the best way to have a job is to create it.

Instead of locking ourselves in and excluding others, let's open to competition as a great opportunity to create new businesses, new jobs and new services that meet the increasingly demanding needs of the "consumer-actors" and obliges us to become "consumer-authors."
