Boeing and Airbus follow orders at Le Bourget

Boeing finds buyer for 737 MAX

Boeing has announced that it has signed with the group IAG (British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and Aer Lingus) an order intention for 200 737 MAX. This is the first order of its medium haul grounded since March after two aerial crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia that have made 346 deaths in recent months. The amount is over $ 24 billion at list price.

Saudi airline orders 65 Airbus

Saudi Arabian Airlines, the Saudi airline, announced yesterday that it plans to increase its fleet of A320 "neo" from 35 to 100. At list price, this order is valued at over $ 7.4 billion. In detail, fifteen of these aircraft are A321 XLR, the new single-aisle Airbus capable of traveling 8,700 kilometers. On this order, however, 35 devices are optional.

100 Airbus for Air Lease Corporation

US rental company Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has signed a letter of intent for 27 A321 XLRs. Deliveries of this aircraft will begin in 2023. ALC's letter of intent also concerns 50 medium-haul aircraft A220-300 and 23 A321 neo.

IAG has also selected the Airbus A321 XLR to diversify its fleet. Eight will go to the company Iberia, which will open new transatlantic routes, six others to Aer Lingus, which will enrich its offer on the east coast of the United States. At the list price, this order is estimated at $ 1.7 billion.

United Airlines contracts for 39 Embraer

The US airline placed a firm order for 20 short-haul E175 aircraft with Brazil's Embraer, and put an option on 19 other planes for $ 1.9 billion.
