Yahsat, the global satellite operator based in the United Arab Emirates, will attend the West Africa Com Forum as a Gold Sponsor on July 10-11, 2018. The event, which brings together the major players in the telecom value chain, will enable Yahsat to present its high-speed YahClick flagship service to its partners and customers in the region.

Yahsat's participation in this event event is part of an expansion plan to launch this year YahClick in five new markets in West Africa. The service will be available in Senegal and The Gambia through the Arc Telecom service partner, in Côte d'Ivoire through CEE-NET, in Benin through Isocel, and finally in Ghana through Teledata and Comsys.

"We are excited to participate in West Africa Com for the second time. Africa is a high priority market for us and now that our third Al Yah 3 satellite is ready for commercialization, we are now able to offer our broadband connectivity solutions to even more markets across the continent. Says Yahsat's commercial director Farhad Khan

In 2012, Yahsat was the first operator to introduce Ka-Band satellite technology into Africa via YahClick, the continent's first broadband satellite service.

] YahClick has already demonstrated its impact as a facilitator of socio-economic development across Africa and in other parts of the world where it is already present; whether by providing connectivity to schools, clinics or libraries in rural and remote areas or by assisting public and private sector workers in their field work. YahClick has also been very successful with businesses large and small, which he has helped to maintain and develop their business with its reliability and quality of service.

"As we continue to expand on new markets, West Africa Com also offers us the opportunity to meet potential new contacts and strengthen our existing network of trusted partners "added Khan.

Yahsat is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and is 100% owned by Mubadala Investment Company, the Abu Dhabi government's investment vehicle.
