#Other countries : Some 43 cases of cholera and six deaths have been recorded since May in the country, including one in Yaoundé, the capital. Faced with the resurgence of the disease, the public authorities are reassuring and call on the population not to panic.
Since May, four health districts have been affected in the northern part of the country. It all began on May 18 with the declaration of four cases at the Mayo-Oulo district, including Guirviza and Ndoumo, two border health areas in Nigeria, reports the Regional Delegate for Public Health of the Northern Region.
A case of cholera is synonymous with an epidemic, the local authorities call on the population to be cautious, while observing hygiene rules such as washing hands regularly with soap, routinely using latrines, washing food and consume them well cooked, leave funeral care to professionals, etc.

As a reminder, more than 420 people died of cholera in 2010 in the only region of the North. This epidemic was considered to be the most serious that Cameroon has seen in the last ten years.
