Created in 2018 with the aim of promoting contemporary African creation in Africa and throughout the world, the Foundation for the Development of Contemporary African Culture (FDCCA) inaugurated this week in Morocco the traveling exhibition Lend me your dream. Bringing together more than a hundred works created for the occasion during different periods of residence, as well as a set of known pieces, it relies on thirty artists of 15 different nationalities, among which El Anatsui, Soly Cisse, William Kentridge, Chéri Samba, Barthélémy Toguo or Ouattara Watts. To discover until July 31 at the House of the Union (former General Residence), in Casablanca, the exhibition will then stage, throughout the coming year, in Dakar, Abidjan, Lagos, Addis Abeda and Cape Town. The aim of the event is to reflect the abundance and vitality of the African art scene. "Give international visibility to local contemporary artists, generate a pan-African cultural diffusion circuit and foster dialogue and exchanges between established and emerging artists"according to the organizers.
