The cost of the boycott campaign will be expensive for Centrale Danone. The company has just published a profit warning on its annual results.
For fiscal year 2018, Centrale Danone expects a decline of 25% of its turnover and a negative net income of about -500 million DH, compared to a net profit of 115 million year earlier.
A statement was issued by the company on this subject, noting that these forecasts are "in line with the release issued on June 4, 2018 concerning the prospects of the first half."
This being the case, "Centrale Danone remains mobilized to implement its strategy and its commitment to put in place a fair and sustainable model on fresh pasteurized milk", indicates the same source.
And to conclude that in parallel, "Centrale Danone remains focused on controlling costs to mitigate the effects of the boycott and innovation to continue to bring the best dairy products to the consumer."
