Dakar, Nov 29 (APS) – Head of State Macky Sall officially installed the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (EESC) on Wednesday, an opportunity for him to urge the application of the principle of parity in constitution of the office of this institution.
"We must respect the principle of parity in the constitution of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council Office," President Sall said at the ceremony.
According to him, "this ceremony has a special meaning in that it closes five successful years of this institution and opens a new term, marking the beginning of a new mission for some and for others a new level of service to render to the nation ".
He also renewed "his confidence in the President of the EESC, Aminata Tall", as well as "all its members".
This institution, magnified the head of state, is "one of the strongest foundations of inclusive governance".
It calls on the EESC members to start thinking about the reforms that must accompany the emerging Senegal Plan. [PSE]like those of the administration to enable citizens to be satisfied with the service they receive ".
"I invite you to continue to pay particular attention to the implementation of the PES and to open to all social groups to listen to this silent mass," said the head of state.
President Sall also recalled "the autonomy of the unions, bosses and policies that make up this institution", indicating that it takes a lot of wisdom for the managers.
He called "all members of this institution to a high sense of responsibility" and to demonstrate "unwavering commitment".
