The Senegalese Export Promotion Agency (ASEPEX) is organizing the official participation of Senegal in the 27th edition of the Dakar International Fair (FIDAK). This edition will take place from November 29 to December 16, 2018 in Cices, on the theme: "the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries facing the challenges of globalization".

18 Senegalese companies will exhibit in the stand, we learned from ASEPEX which specifies that the criteria for the selection of exhibitors were determined by the organizing committee which also chose the companies. According to a communiqué from the said agency, each selected participant has signed the Exhibitor's Charter, to show his commitment to ensuring, on behalf of Senegal, a quality participation. The overall objective of this participation of Senegal is to promote the products and services exported by Senegalese companies. More specifically, the Agency's presence at FIDAK aims to promote Senegalese and regional exportable supply, in particular to supervise exporting companies or companies with export potential and their professional organizations. It is also a matter of informing companies and trade visitors on export markets: UEMOA markets, ECOWAS, European Union, China, Korea, Canada, USA, etc., to organize the Senegal National Day. "For a successful participation, in addition to the institutional exhibition, the agency will put at the disposal of the companies and the professional organizations partners, an exhibition space of 200m ², located in the flag Senegal," reads the statement. In addition, informs the source, the Agency will organize two major events, namely the ASEPEX Day scheduled for December 11, and the National Day of Senegal scheduled for December 13, 2018. According to the note, the official stand of the Senegal will be distinguished by its layout, creativity and originality for the exhibition of products "Made in Senegal". This stand will host, among others, companies from the regions that have expressed their interest to exhibit in the stand of ASEPEX, but also export companies or with export potential, selected by the organizing committee of the ASEPEX.
