Community leaders in the area of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) are working hard to achieve the successful round table of donors that will take place in three months in Brussels. The Chairperson of the Commission of the Subregional Organization, Daniel Ona Ondo, held a working session last Thursday in N'Djamena with the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Livestock, Meat and Fishery Resources (CEBEVIRHA), Pedro Bayéme Bayéme Ayingono, and his deputy, Bernard Boutsika Ngavet. The purpose of this consultation was to evaluate the preparations for the round table but also to ensure the final details to be settled before this important meeting.

Thus, taking stock of progress, Ona Ondo indicated that the funding provided for the organization of the round table is available. According to him, the last step is the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the CEMAC Commission, CEBEVIRHA and the EMRC technical partner. The community leader assured that this protocol will be signed next week in Malabo in Equatorial Guinea.

No right to error …

With the Round Table planned by the CEMAC, the idea is to mobilize a 130 billion CFA francs, specify the sources close to the file. The funds will support agricultural and livestock development projects in the CEMAC zone. This appointment is all the more important as " without the implementation of integrative projects, we will do only the administration. But this is not what the CEMAC decision-makers expect of us "said Daniel Ona Ondo. According to him, it will take for the CEBEVIRHA, to put everything in order for its success.

" All the guarantees must surround your project of round table, because you engage the community and especially a head of the State ( Idriss Déby Itno, sponsor of the round table, Ed). That is to say, you have no right to error and even less to failure ", he said.
