Secretary of State with the Minister of the Economy and Finances Agnès Pannier-Runacher met this Monday at the prefecture inter-union factory Ford Aquitaine Industries, Blanquefort.

Objective: to ensure that the recovery by Punch can be done, finally. Blocked by Ford because of "lack of guarantees", the negotiation resumes with a new proposal that would save 400 of 860 jobs. And, according to information from the daily "Sud Ouest", to rehire in the long term, to reach 1,100 employees by 2025.

"Everyone agrees that the new offer from Punch Powerglide is improved," said the Secretary of State. But side unions, the speech is not so rosy. Having accepted a pay freeze for three years, they have a negative view of the elimination of three days of RTT from 2022. "Punch wants to take advantage of the situation to nibble on our social conditions," laments Philippe Poutou, CGT delegate of site.

Punch in turn moves to Blanquefort today hoping to get a deal. Key for the acceptance of the recovery plan by Ford, whose answer is expected tomorrow … in theory.
