Porto announced Monday the arrival of Chancel Mbemba. The 23-year-old Congolese was playing in Newcastle. He has committed for four seasons.

Mbemba joined Anderlecht in 2011. He started in the first team in 2013. Having become a key defender, the Congolese was transferred to Newcastle in 2015. With the Magpies, he had a relegation followed by a quick comeback in the Premier League. Last season, he played only nine games in the English Premier League. He has 42 national team selections and 3 goals.
Led by former Standard player Sergio Conceiçao, Porto has returned to the title after four years and will play in the Champions League.
