Act 16 of "Timitar" offers a rich program. About twenty Moroccan artists and groups, who alternate different musical rhythms, will be partying. One could quote the singer of "Chaâbi Najat Ataâbou", the singer Zakaria Ghafouli, whose tube "Hobino" recalls HuffPost Maghreb, "had hard card on YouTube, last year". In addition, it is planned the performance of the rock band, "Betweenatna", the singer, Gadiri Lahcen Anir, who has just unveiled his clip "Li 3ndo 3ndo", not to mention the hip hop group, "Fnair", which makes speak well of him, and the Casablanca singer, Hatim Ammor ("Mchiti Fiha", "Bla 3onwane").
For the promotion of young Moroccan talents, the public will have to appreciate the performance of the singer-guitarist, Soukaina Fahsi, who appeared on the show "Arabs Got Talents", and Hicham Massine which mixes Amazigh music and modern rhythms. As for the traditional music, it will be well represented by the groups like "Raïs Said & Abdellah Outajajt", the ensemble "Aït Laati, the Ahwach Haha" of Tamanar or the "Raïssa Fatima Tachtoukt".
The music from elsewhere will also have the right of quotation, as with each edition of "Timitar". For this purpose, the Malian group, "Tinariwen", which, before the "Timitar", will perform at the "Gnaoua" Festival of Essaouira, will be on the stage of the "Al Amal" Square on Friday, July 5th. The group "The Chehade Brothers" (Lebanon), the singer Ismaël Lö (Senegal), the Reggae band, "The Original Wailers feat Al Anderson" (Jamaica), and the singer-guitarist, Eugenio Bennato (Italy), will animate also this 16th edition of the Festival.
A laudable initiative launched in 2004 by Brahim El Mazned, who also hosts the Salon de musique, "Visa for music" in Rabat, the "Timitar" is a warm event that, according to its director, Khalid Bazid, staged each year, Amazigh and foreign artists with, for objectives, "the promotion of tolerance, miscegenation and openness to the world".
