BORDEAUX, Nov 27 (Reuters) – France's non-food E-commerce retailer, Cdiscount, reported Tuesday a new traffic record at Black Friday 2018 with 10 million visits and 57 million business volumes euros.
The group, a subsidiary of Casino group headquartered in Bordeaux, said in a statement have established a record of purchases with double-digit growth and 57 million euros of business volume.
In 2017, Black Friday had generated at Cdiscount eight million unique visitors and 43 million euros of business volume.
"The event now exceeds Cdiscount on the first day of sales in terms of number of visits and sales volume. This year, peaks at 23,000 new visitors per minute and 156 orders per second have been regularly observed, "reports Cdiscount.
"At this 2018 edition of Black Friday, more than one in six French went on Cdiscount," says Emmanuel Grenier, CEO of the group.
