A real lack to be filled

Numbering 550, they are a good start, but far from replacing the fleet of 2,000 Autolib, which has now disappeared, and far from the 20,000 car-sharing cars that the Paris City Hall wants to roll over to the end ….

But PSA wants to go gradually, already assessing very precisely the needs of consumers. Certainly, the end of Autolib has created a real lack for the Paris user, and Free2Move offers to fill it. But not without taking into account customer feedback and experience.

Study behaviors

"We are located in 33 cities around the world, each is a particular site," says Brigitte Courtehoux, director of Free2Move. "Even in the same country with two relatively close cities, we can end up with radically different behaviors, reflexes of use and habits. The Parisian is a special user! She adds.

A market yet to structure

These cars will be maintained, cleaned and also recharged regularly (their maximum range is 150km). A logistical challenge that Free2Move, with its strong presence and experience accumulated around the world, feels fully able to meet.

Beyond a simple replacement of Autolib, Free2Mov wants, as it was the case in its other geographical locations, to play the role of major player and structuring a market exploded, that of new mobility.

"Axis of profitable growth"

Because the Free2Move app allows you to find the car closest to you, to make your journey and pay for it, but also to have access to a whole range of mobility services, bicycles, scooters or other scooters. partner operators. While other major manufacturers are investing in new means of locomotion, PSA prefers to develop digital solutions.

"We benefit from the showcase of the car fleet, but the real product we are developing is above all digital and immaterial," says Brigitte Courtehoux. "It's really about offering customers freedom of movement. And this is not just a facade digitalization, it is for PSA a real axis of profitable growth, a real business. Free2Move, as such, is a brand of the group like Peugeot, Citroën or DS. She adds.

The Free2Move fleet will be available from Monday in Paris intramural, but the group works with several municipalities to expand its service in the Small Crown, at first.
