Gordon Acha has been named general manager of the Cameroonian subsidiary of the US financial group Citi, it was learned Tuesday from internal source to the holding of the bank and insurance.This appointment comes at the end of the council of administration which places the new director under the responsibility of the Board of Directors of Citi Cameroon chaired by Khady Dior Ndiaye, Director General of Citi Côte d'Ivoire and Director for French-speaking Africa in the West and Center.

General Manager for Cameroon has more than 23 years of experience in investment banking in the United States, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Gabon and South Africa.

He joined Citi Cameroon for the first time in 1998, where he held several positions, before joining the Atlantic Bank in Côte d'Ivoire as Director of Operations, where he was responsible for Afr investment banking activities. West and Central America

Gordon joined Citi in 2010 as General Manager of Citi Côte d'Ivoire, before taking over the management of Citi Gabon.


He later served as Director of Citi the Non-Presence Countries and Correspondent Banking Group for Citi Africa, after which he took on the role of Global Head of the Quality Assurance Business Team at Citi ICG Utility Group in North America.

Citi is present in 16 countries in Africa and has been present in Cameroon since 1998 and "continues to consider the country and region as essential in its international strategy," says a group statement.
