INNOVACSA raises awareness on the access and use of agro-climatic information

In order to encourage participatory dynamics between the actors of agricultural development, producers, technicians, researchers, traders and decision-makers of the Saint-Louis region, the rector of the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis launched officially at UGB, the INNOVACSA platform.
This platform will enable the various actors to access and use agro-climatic information with a view to adopting better adaptation options in the face of climate change.
"Any deterioration or unfavorable climate condition inevitably affects agricultural production, thus compromising food security. What calls the country on the harmful consequences of the drought, because of its agricultural economy that is highly dependent on climatic conditions, "says Ousmane Thiaré. Who has not failed to mention the disastrous consequences of climate change on the production capacity of traditional agriculture of the Senegal River Delta.
As such,
coordinator of this platform, Professor Seydou Nourou Sall indicates that it will be for stakeholders to "co-build innovative strategies based on the results of research and endogenous knowledge of agricultural stakeholders".
