In search of a central defender, Paris Saint-Germain could get German Jerome Boateng signed very soon.
Will the PSG transfer window finally take off? The days go by and nothing happens for the moment. Interview confirmed by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: "I know that Jerome's agents are in contact with Paris, a final decision must still be made." The hardest starts however for PSG. If the club really holds the player's agreement, as Le Parisien states, he will now have to negotiate with Bayern Munich. Institution not really friend of the champion of France. As a reminder, the Bavarians had sharply criticized the bewildering campaign of transfers on the summer market 2017 that brought Neymar and Mbappé to Paris. A year later, and with a large check, they could be more docile.
A further sign for the 3-5-2?
Desired by Tuchel, Jérôme Boateng could therefore be the central defender so sought after. He has a very solid experience (71 caps with the Mannschaft and used to the Champions League), he is versatile and could integrate quickly with Julian Draxler and Kevin Trapp. In any case, it still seems to be a signal for a tactical upheaval at PSG. Since his arrival on the bench, Thomas Tuchel strives to evolve his team in 3-5-2. Negotiations between the two clubs are expected to accelerate in the coming days, but Bayern is demanding 50 million euros for its player. An exaggerated sum for the Parisian leaders who would like to lower the price around 40 million euros. Case to follow but the mercato of the PSG could finally be agitated.
