Just a few days before the auction, a painting by the famous French impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir was stolen from a large Austrian auction house in Vienna. Its value is estimated between 120,000 and 160,000 euros. The police are currently looking for three suspects.

He just disappeared from the radar. A few days before the auction, the painting "Gulf, sea, green cliffs" by the impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir was stolen from the Austrian auction house Dorotheum in Vienna.

Neither seen nor known? Not that much! The surveillance cameras filmed three suspicious people, one carrying a large bag.

These people were seen in the building of the auction house on Monday, November 26 at 17:15. According to the media, they went directly to the painting on the second floor and left the scene separately.

"They were probably professionals," said Patrick Maierhofer, spokesman for the Viennese police, quoted by the media.

Measuring 40 x 27 centimeters and dating from 1895, the painting was to be auctioned last Wednesday. Its value is estimated between 120,000 and 160,000 euros.
